This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

At our school we believe in having a safe learning environment that promotes physical, social, and emotional health. One of the places, during the school day where our students can work towards this holistic health approach is during physical education class.

Physical Education plays a vital role in the development, growth, and learning process of children.

Physical Education provides experiences that allow the child to mature in working alone, with a partner, as a group member, and with a teacher.

My Project

My goal is to teach children to be active, but most importantly to foster a love for being active. I want to help our students develop skills, strength, and agility. Our program emphasizes introducing our students to lead-up games that flow into sports so they want to be active for their lifetime.

Physical education needs to be fun for children!

If children have fun being active, then they will be motivated to be active for a lifetime. By funding this project, you will not only be helping our physical education program meet the critical standards of locomotor, non-locomotor and manipulative skills development, you will be helping foster a love for physical activity.
