This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are amazing, talented, hardworking teenagers - but they are still recovering from the aftermath of the pandemic. They would rather go on their phone to aimlessly scroll through TikTok or meaningless Instagram videos, instead of having any real interactions/communications with their classmates.
The number one1 distraction with teenagers - PHONES.
These board games will not only teach them teamwork, communication skills, game strategies, and critical thinking skills - but more importantly, they will also provide opportunities for the students to create interpersonal bonds & healthy social interactions with their peers.
Academic skills are important, but their social and emotional well-being is equally important. Let these board games be the tools to connect these teenagers together!
