My students need something new to read! The book titles include "Inheritance Cycle" Boxed Set, "Hunger Games" trilogy, "freakonomics" and the "Collected Tales and Poems of Edgar Allan Poe."
Can you believe that our school does not have a library?
Our students live in a high poverty, rural area.
Getting to the library is often hard for them. Since our school does not have a library, I have brought in my own books from home for students to read. We also rely on donated books. Students have silent reading days, and it would be great if they had something new and exciting to read!
My Project
My students would eat up new books! They would love to get their hands on some new and exciting material. I chose a wide array of books, so as everyone will have options of what they would like to read. Students have not had anything new to read all year; they have been limited to what is up on my two bookshelves.
I can't even tell you how much these books would help our students.
I try to share my love of reading with them, often bringing in novels I have just read. I would love to share more with them!
