Put Books in Their Hands

Help me give my students books to read. A majority of our students have never owned a book, which is why most of my students struggle to read or cannot read. Reading is an essential part of life.

My Project

I plan on using these books to help increase the reading level of my students through guided reading. If our students have strong reading skills they are more likely to succeed in their adult life. I personally know what it feels like to struggle as a reader and to be the parent of struggling students. That is why I became an ELA teacher. So I can positively touch as many lives through reading as I can.

Once a child's eyes have been opened through the world of reading there is no stopping them.
