"Creativity is the ability to connect the seemingly unconnectable." - William Plomer This one quote defines everyday life in my classroom. I teach at an arts integrated, Title I school. Our students often come to school with very little supplies and often have little opportunity outside our doors to express themselves.
My students are creative, active learners that are eager for new and exciting experiences and resources.
It is my hope that my classroom will be a safe, enriching environment that will foster creative learning.
My Project
One of the best parts of teaching in an arts integrated school is allowing students to take ownership of their learning by allowing them to express themselves. Our classroom supply is running low and these color sticks, paints, and packs of clay will go a long way! The students will use them to create everything from posters, to comic strips, to models and dioramas to show understanding in all content areas.
When students are allowed the opportunity to use high quality supplies, their creativity seems endless.
These materials will be used on a daily basis in our classroom both with in whole groups lessons and independently. The arts always add a level of excitement to learning, and I know these supplies will motivate my students and add a level of fun to our day!
