Help me give my students prizes for meeting their middle of the year goals, and for pushing themselves to complete extra practice assignments as we begin end of the year review!
Well, the halfway point of the year is drawing nearer. Students have been hard at work reviewing their goals and getting last minute practice in before its time for the middle of the year assessments. My kids have pushed themselves so hard to meet or beat their goals, and I am incredibly proud of them!
The second half of the year can be a drag, and often students need a little extrinsic motivation to keep going on those hard days.
Your donation will help fund a fun and innovative way to keep kids learning and growing! First and most importantly, this grant will fund a PLINKO board, just like the Price is Right. (Unfortunately, most of my students don't watch it like we did on sick days, so what better way to introduce them to a classic?). With every 3 extra practice assignments students complete, they will earn a PLINKO chip. That's where the second part of this grant comes in:
I have asked for different snacks and goodies that I know my 5th graders love: cookies, chips, Takis, candy, ect. With your help, I can fill the bottom of the PLINKO board with awesomeness to keep my kids motivated and working hard. Hey, what 5th grader doesn't love a little snacky snack?
