My project is going to help my students explore careers in baking and cake decorating. The steel table, icing, cutting boards, cake decorating kit, airbrush kit, baking sheets, paint, food coloring, and other supplies I am requesting will help my students explore careers in trade school and career tech programs. Not all of my students are interested in formal college education after graduating and I am attempting to introduce other trades and career options to my students. The more careers I can allow them to experience, the better chance of them finding something they are passionate about and will benefit them later in life.
The majority of my students are from low income households and will not receive hands on career experiences, if they are not provided for them at their current school.
