This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our classroom printer ink is in need of being replenished; there are many lessons and materials I would love to provide in color such as parent reports, materials for lessons, classroom posters, etc. Magazine holders will be used to organize reading/math materials.
To help my students develop thoughtfulness and convey deep emotional connections to their loved ones, they will be supplied with the necessary materials to create special wrappings for some of our classroom projects.
My students enjoy doing creative projects for their families; cellophane bags, brown bags, paper punch, ribbon, and tulle are some of the items they will be able to use to make their special wrappings.
Also, a rolling desk would also be useful for setting up a lesson anywhere in the classroom; with this, I will be able to rearrange my classroom in ways that enhance the learning experience of my students. This will be beneficial for small group reading instruction so that it could be held anywhere in the classroom. It will also be beneficial for one-on-one discussions to have a flexible workspace so that materials are readily available and easily accessible. This desk will also be a place where I can use my document camera so that information and lesson materials can be projected to a large group. This desk will also be used as a presentation desk by my students so that the materials they are presenting with can be within arm's reach.
