This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Help bring purposeful play back into our classroom by providing materials that will enhance our fine motor skills. These activities will help build hand eye coordination, improve physical awareness, build confidence and help foster independence. The development of fine motor skills helps build the foundation for important future skills like writing and self care. Developing fine motor skills helps children do things like eating, writing, manipulating objects and getting dressed. Most importantly, the materials I have chosen are FUN! My little learners will definitely enjoy playing with these new materials without even knowing that they are learning and improving their fine motor skills.
