My Project
Skills based health education develops critical life skills such as interpersonal communication, decision making, advocacy and more that students need to manage their overall health, including their mental health. Developing these skills requires hands on opportunities for practice. This requires some creativity, especially with students who don’t yet read and write. The Play Around Dollhouse, Furniture and Complete Family Set will give students opportunities to engage in pretend play related to our lesson objectives.
The games and puzzles allow students fun and engaging ways to develop functional knowledge and while practicing their communication and cooperation skills.
This classroom project was brought to life by Connecticut State Department of Education.
