Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My third graders attend a public school in an urban district. It is a Title I school, and 100% of the students qualify for a free or reduced-price lunch. Coming from an urban district and a Title I school, my students do not have as many supplies and opportunities as students in the surrounding districts.

This year, I have 25 inquisitive and eager students, many of whom are not on grade level.

They include SPED, English Language Learners, and LTSS students, but they are always ready to learn. My students are full of energy and their creativity shines through in all of the work that they do. They soak up everything you put out.

My goal is to make their return to the classroom experience meaningful and fun while also setting high expectations and providing a safe, loving environment for all of my students, no matter their circumstances. Your donations mean more than you will ever fully understand!

My Project

Last year my group of 3rd graders were home ALL year by choice. Parent and students were afraid. This Fall as of now, we will 100% be in person, no options. This is very unsettling for many. I am going to do my best to make our atmosphere and classroom a SAFE place for them. With COVID and its variants, it's important to keep the air we are breathing as clean as possible. This air purifying unit removes 99.9% of particulates from the air and has adjustable speeds. It's also quiet, which is essential for the classroom environment!
