Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are a group of bright, creative, curious 5-year-olds who are currently learning their letters and sounds. They are striving their hardest to learn as much as they can during their first school experience.

Our school is a Title I school with 100% of our students receiving free or reduced-price lunch.

The majority of my students are English-Language Learners and yet at such an early age, they are reading to learn about the world that surrounds them.

My Project

I am requesting a Read and Relax Book Station with storage to provide a quiet and comfortable place for my Transitional Kindergarten students to enjoy reading books.

The book station with storage will help me keep the books well-organized and provide easy access for the students to use them.

The organized book bins will help the students know where to get the books as well as putting them back. They will be so excited to help keep the book station organized as well as reading all those amazing books that will be placed in the book station. The puppets are a great way to get the students talking to each other and therefore will promote more language development.

The donations to this project will be a tremendous help to the students.
