My students need Play-doh and puppets to act out stories and encourage imaginative play to let their imaginations run wild!
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Safran's classroom raised $263

My Students
My students are unique and energetic learners who each have very specific goals and skills they are working on, throughout the day. Every activity that is designed in my classroom is geared towards accomplishing these goals.
My students learn best through exploration and 'doing' rather than watching.
Each of my students has specific goals they are working towards mastering throughout the year. Having puppets will allow students to comprehend stories more easily, through visuals, while also giving them the opportunity to act out stories and write their own tales. Puppets are also beneficial for social-emotional growth, to act out real-life situations, so students are better equipped to deal with conflict and social interactions as they grow up. Play-doh is colorful, fun, and appeals to multiple senses. Having Play-doh will allow my students to create letters, numbers, and words, while strengthening their muscles and visual planning simultaneously.
My Project
I am requesting Play-doh, and Play-doh molds for my classroom, as well as puppets and a puppet stand. Play-doh and supplies are a fun way to practice making letters and numbers, strengthening their muscles for writing through play. Puppets will be used to act out conflict, stories, and role play, to bring stories to life!
These items will support my students in learning through acting out, exploration, and expanding their imagination.
By supporting their learning through hands on exploration, my students will be able to use skills explicitly taught and show what they know with creativity and fun!
