We are a preschool class in Michigan. We serve low-income and at-risk children and their families. We provide them with high-quality health and educational programs. We are an all-day preschool, that is free to our families. We partner with organizations in our community to help connect our families with the support that they may need to become stronger and independent family.
We are a preschool that comes together as one, but with many differences.
We have families that speak English as a second language, and the students are learning English in the classroom from their teachers and peers. We have students with disabilities receiving support through our program.
We are teaching students how to be kind to one another and to be able to express their needs and wants. We are a classroom with big smiles and big hugs.
My Project
My students love sharing their thoughts with their peers and myself. The Puppets and Puppet Theater will allow for my students to take their love of sharing story-telling to another level.
These puppets will allow the students to express themselves in a new and exciting way!
My students will also use these materials to explore their increasing vocabulary! It will allow them to work with their peers, and learn to use their words to share their space and ideas with one another. I cannot wait to see what my students will act out given these tools!
