Puppet Performances to Increase Language Skills!

Help me give my students puppets and craft materials to make puppets so they can create performances to support their language skills over the summer!

My Project

My students are loving puppets! In the past, the puppets are the first thing they ask about when we talk about the summer language bags. The hope is that they can enjoy playing with the materials so much that they don't realize they're also keeping up with their speech and language skills that we've practiced all year.

When my students put on puppet performances for their families over the summer months, it also gives them a chance to increase their ability to tell stories, make their speech sounds and develop new vocabulary!

These puppets and puppet making materials will allow my students to put on their own performances with silly characters, far away places, problems to be solved and hopefully some great solutions! Creating their own puppets will give them a chance to work on basic concepts for directions that will help them when they get back to school in the fall while getting to express their own creativity.
