My Students

My students are tech-savvy eager learners who are among the generation born with a technological device in their hands. However, many of my students have access to limited devices to enrich their learning. They experience socio-economic challenges daily many prior to entering the building. Dealing with hardships of everyday life, learning should not be as difficult.

My students struggle with mental, physical, and emotional issues that I believe contributes to the challenges of a traditional learning environment.

While talking with my students I've discovered technology provides a sense of comfort which can be transferred to technology use in the classroom to encourage growth.

My Project

My classroom is welcoming and an inviting environment for learning with various print-rich opportunities to help students grow and achieve. The tablets requested will be the technological 'icing' on the cake of literacy learning. With accessible technology such as tablets, the knowledge gained from instruction will be put into action and can be applied through varied support that will be accessed through the district's resources. As well as the teacher I have access to a plethora of t4echnical resources yet my students are limited and many do not have internet nor technical devices at home to access the resources I have at my fingertips.
