My Students

My students have so many needs that aren't being met with school being closed. With the new norms being put in place to stop the spread of COVID-19, students, among others, are unprepared with basic necessities. I hope to provide them with some items to use both in school (when we open) and while at home during school closure.

My Project

Throughout distance learning, my students have needs that are not being met. I want to provide my students with resuable face masks and individual mini-hand sanitizer bottles for travel. These items can be distributed with supplies at the start of the quarter for students to use when they are going to work, school, grocery stores, and other appointments. Masks are required in all public places in my county and I have heard from many students that they have been reusing disposable masks for weeks at a time. I want them to have something washable. Helping students stay healthy at home will help them learn more effectively and focus. When our schools eventually open, these items will still be useful for in-person learning.
