Help me give my students some quality outside play time. Currently we have no equipment on the playground because previous unsafe equipment was removed so the caterpillar and hoops would help build an awesome outdoor space!
RBA Pre-K, is made up of energetic and curious 4 year old little persons! Some of the children stay all day and some part day depending on parent choice. The children come from diverse ethnic and economic groups.
Our days are full of learning through play!
Many of the children have never been in school before which adds to their excitement and enthusiasm. We want to fill their first school experiences with magic and enjoyment and set a positive tone for their successful academic career to come!
My Project
Play is the work of Preschool students. Every day our students spend time outside as per state requirements as well as developmentally appropriate practices. Outdoor play builds our large and small motor abilities and is crucial for social, emotional and intellectual development.
New equipment will expand our classroom outside!
Large motor skills will be enhanced through climbing, pedaling and throwing. Small motor skills will also be enhanced through added experiences including scooping, grasping and building. Outdoor play helps children to emotionally recharge and express themselves. Socially they interact and use higher vocabulary during play. Games and play include activities such as counting and singing to increase academic skills.
There are some many things that children can learn during outdoor play. The items requested will go a long way in developing our outdoor play environment which currently consists of a mulch and grass area with a bicycle path but no bicycles. We are excited to offer outdoor opportunities for our children to learn through their play!
