This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My seventh and eighth-grade students are an exuberant bunch of teens who love to socialize and have fun.

My students are diversity personified from painfully shy to audacious, from studious to silly, from spoiled to neglected, from being treasured to experiencing trauma.

When I greet them each day, some are ready to be challenged and others are ready to be challenging. In middle school, you never know what the day might hold. One thing is for certain: most days are extremely busy and completely unpredictable!

My Project

None of us knows what to expect when we return to school, but one thing's for certain: we are going to have to change a lot of the ways we do things in our classrooms! I've always provided hand sanitizer for my students, but now it's vital that I have a huge supply of it.

While the pump bottles of hand sanitizer have worked in the past, now it's important to have a touchless system that has a large capacity and is accessible to all the students in my class.

If I put this stand right near my classroom door, students will be able to get sanitizer on their way in and out, and whenever they feel they need to sanitize their hands. We also always need Kleenex for our drippy noses, and these are anti-viral to help kill any viruses that might be lurking.
