Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

The Tigerettes dance team is a very talented group of middle school girls and boys who are eager to perform, create, and learn new routines. They enjoy performing at different events at school and in the community. We often have to practice outside on the basketball court or where ever space is available and sometimes that doesn't include a sound system to play music from.

My Project

Having a portable sound system not only allows my dancers to "Pump that Bass" but also provides music for practice too and can be used for performances all around campus and on the go.

Dance and Movement is the language that my students use to express themselves outside of the classroom.

It is so important for them to feel a sense of accomplishment and that their voices be heard.

The microphone will allow for me to give dance instructions during practice and serves for the purposes of being their MC during showcases.
