Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

I am a third year teacher at E.P. Todd Elementary school in Spartanburg, SC. I teach 6th grade Language Arts and Social Studies for two groups of students a day. Currently I have 43 students. Everyday my students are actively engaged in Writer's Workshops. During Writer's Workshop my students are drafting new writings, peer conferencing, and publishing. I believe gel pens and colorful stationary would provide an added excitement and incentive during the publishing process. It would also serve as a reward for my students' hard work as they strive to become better writers. Your gracious donation would bring added excitement to Writer's Workshop in my classroom.
