This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach at a Title I K-8 span school in which all of our students receive free breakfast, lunch, and an after school meal. Our community consists of hard-working families who believe in the importance of education and support our school by volunteering, attending parent workshops, and donating school supplies as much as possible. My twenty-five energetic and motivated students come to school every day ready to do their best.
Together, we are working to build a classroom community full of empathy, perseverance, and independence.
As a school, our mission is to instill a love of learning, build character, and give students the necessary skills to pursue their dreams. Our students understand that in order to succeed, you have to put in the work. Awesome Takes Practice!
My Project
I strive to make writing authentic and exciting for my students. Imagine students being able to take photos, draw illustrations, and add colorful charts and graphs to their writing work! The Epson WorkForce color printer I am requesting will motivate and energize students to publish writing pieces throughout the year.
The addition of a color printer to our classroom would help increase the joy of writing and publishing for my students.
Let's face it, writing is sometimes one of the hardest skills for students to learn in school. Every year, I have a few students who do not think writing is fun, that they are not any good at it, and avoid writing as much as possible. Your donation towards the purchase of a color printer could help change their attitudes towards writing.
