Our students love and hate when we have puberty talks! We will be embarking on our school's puberty journey in the fall and want to ensure that we can make puberty packs for all students. Puberty already stinks and we want to make sure students are not self-conscious about their bodily changes. We are educating our 5th and 6th grade students on the changes occurring in their bodies and showing them how normal they are. We will be educating boys and girls on the correct anatomical terms for the parts of their bodies and the changes their bodies will go through. Additionally, with the girls, we will be instructing how to use pads/pantyliners, how to handle your first period, and proper ways to wash your body. With the boys, we will provide hygiene information and nutrition. These travel kits are the perfect addition to our students' bookbags for those uncomfortable moments where they need additional menstrual supplies, or forgot to apply deodorant in the morning.
