This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students LOVE using visuals in their speech therapy sessions, but right now they all have to crowd around my computer to see any digital visual support. Servicing children in small groups makes this challenging for them to see the supports clearly.

I plan to use this projector within my classroom to allow students to grow their language using interactive visual supports!

It will also help my students with visual deficits to see things clearly with a larger picture. It will also allow them access to diverse platforms that are more motivating to encourage their engagement during our lessons. Currently my students are largely low income, and I support a diverse level of disabilities, including children who cannot speak at all. This will really help ALL of my students access the level of support they need.
