Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school serves students in grade k-8 from different backgrounds, provides rigorous academics, safe learning environment, and have caring teachers that go above and beyond. Students come from low-income households and have not had much experience with the world outside their small community.

My students are amazing, imaginative, fun-loving kids, and many families don't have the ability to provide basic school supplies to learn online or at school due to the Covid-19.

Many students depend on limited resources and whatever materials they have at home. Despite the hardships they are facing with the closure of our school, they are eager learners.

My Project

I am not sure how or when our new school year will begin or what to expect during this uncertain time. However, my students will need essentials school supplies to learn at home or at school in order to succeed.

Many families will have financial difficulties during this time and school supplies will not be on their list when they have to provide food at the table.

I am hesitant to ask parents to purchase all the supplies needed for the beginning of the school year. Parents have a lot to worry about and by providing some financial support during this difficult time is just the right thing to do.

This project will provide students with notebooks, pencils, pencil cases, erasers, glue, and crayons. Through your support and generosity, my students will receive the school supplies they need to have a successful year, at home or at school.
