Help me give my students headphones so that they can effectively use their iPads/Chromebooks in class for independent work, read-alouds, watching educational videos and taking high stake assessments that require accommodations such as the CoGAT Assessment.
Although the elementary classroom is a wonderful place for learning through teamwork and collaboration, there is also a generous amount of time spent in the classroom and in other support rooms that are independent working times for students. The headphones that I am requesting will be used in my Advanced Learning Classroom and Small Groups throughout the year during those independent times.
The headphones will give the students the opportunity for true focus while completing independent work, watching educational videos, researching, and learning advanced topics.
These headphones will also help when high-achieving students are given the CoGAT Assessment every fall and spring which helps to determine identification of giftedness in grades 2nd-5th.
