My Project

I am reaching out to request your support in providing much-needed books for my third-grade classroom. As a teacher in a low-income school, I strive to create a rich and engaging learning environment, but resources can be limited. Right now, we are in need of Black history books and Science of Reading books to help our students build knowledge, literacy skills, and a love for learning.

Black history is an essential part of our curriculum, helping students see themselves in the stories they read while also learning about influential figures and important moments in history.

Having age-appropriate books that highlight Black leaders, scientists, activists, and changemakers will inspire my students and deepen their understanding of history and culture.

Additionally, Science of Reading books are crucial in helping my students develop strong literacy foundations. Many of my students struggle with reading, and evidence-based books designed for phonics, decoding, and comprehension practice can make a world of difference in their progress. These books will allow me to provide targeted instruction that meets their needs and sets them up for future success.
