Providing Comfort and Choice to All of My Students.

My Students

My students are thoughtful, inclusive, kind, and are the most amazing cheerleaders for one another. I have had the honor to watch these students grow as 2nd graders during one of the most stressful and confusing times in all of our lives. From online teaching, to hybrid teaching, these students were resilient. We overcame challenges, jumped over hurtles, and in the end came out on top.

This coming school year, I am going to have the pleasure of looping with the same group of students as 3rd graders.

Watching them support one another, and laugh with one another is one of the things I am so excited to experience again.

My Project

Flexible seating is a great way to support all students. Giving the students choice makes the experience of learning more exciting. It also gives the students more responsibility.

I believe in a classroom that is safe and comfortable.

I want my students to feel at home, relaxed, and excited to learn. All of the different options I chose benefit different students and their preferences. Some students prefer working on the floor, while others prefer to work at a table. No matter what their preference is, I want to make sure I can accommodate everyone in my room and give everyone a chance to experience a new way of learning.
