Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"I wish I can stay in Second Grade forever!" Words you chuckle at and are humbled by when students give you that pat on the back at the end of the day! These students look at the bright side and are grateful for the caring presence they feel throughout the school each day. They are positive amidst the challenges that they daily face.

I teach at a Title I school in Connecticut where 100 percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.

Students who are struggling in academic areas are often overwhelmed with all the testing and work focus that is required. Having tools both in and out of class to help them learn and enjoy will help balance their learning and play.

My Project

My students have so many good stories to share but struggle with the writing process as many are below reading level.

Having an extra motivator like "Official Story Writing Books" will hook them into working on writing and publishing these important stories held within them.

Students can share out these stories with their peers as well as in their families and make learning come alive!

This center will house supplies at an area where children can come and work on their stories at their own pace and with assistance!

The box of story sequencing can help those learners who might need more assistance in coming up with ideas!
