it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students have a difficult time communicating without photos. We just had a color printer funded to print the photos/communication boards and now need a laminator and thicker laminating film as the thin laminating film that schools use for items is not thick enough. the photos and communication boards get destroyed easily with this lamination. We now have many photos/boards to laminate and need a laminator that will allow us to laminate items with thicker laminating film to protect these items so that we do not need to remake them weekly.
A laminator and thicker laminating film will help protect the pictures that our students use to communicate so that they can use their communication boards/books in all settings without them being damaged like they are with regular lamination that schools buy and have the film ready to utilize when we need to protect the items and use them right away!
Our students deserve to be able to communicate every day and they can not do this when they do not have their communication books/boards and photos available to them every day. They need to have replacements made and provided to them immediately and last so that they can communicate consistently and successfully.
