My students need these accessories to protect the Surface Pro 4 that was donated. The tablet/computer is a very expensive item and we want to protect to for years of future use.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Every day I greet my students with a high five or a handshake at the door. Students are eager to quickly enter our technology lab and begin the days lesson. I have had previous students return to me, thanking me for preparing them for high school and they say I've done well.
My students are from an inner-city and while they have many challenges in life, they are strong and willing to fight for their future.
They are in love with technology and my classroom is setup to inspire creativity, with some help I can help them achieve incredible technology projects. My school has a wonderful, inviting, safe culture that welcomes all students and parents to join our learning journey.
My Project
There are several Apple tablets in my school that some students have access to, however, I want to expose my students to tablets that are different from just Apple tablets. Many past students that come back and visit with me share that in their high schools more and more lesson are taught using tablets. Many of those lessons are taught using Apple tablets but some students are starting to use Microsoft Surface Pro tablets and I want to prepare my students for that experience. I would also like to allow students to check out the tablet to take to school field trips or school sponsored sporting events, so they can use it to take pictures and blog about the events.
