This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Do you remember what it was like when the teacher presented a concept and you couldn't follow along or catch on as quickly as other in the class? Technology can help with this!
My first grade students come from various backgrounds and economic statues.
They attend a K-12 school and are eager to see what is planned for them each and every morning as they walk into the classroom. They know they will be challenged and are happy to take on the tasks knowing that I am there for them.
My Project
I am requesting iPad covers and headphones to use with a pair of iPads that we were recently awarded. The covers will protect the iPads and the headphones will allow students to work one-one-one with the education programs that the iPad has to offer. Students will be able to work in pairs, small groups or individually to improve upon math and language arts skills that will move them to the top! Technology will be another tool that we will be able to use to make sure that they are more than ready for the next challenge that they face academically and even socially.
This project is important because it will allow us to start using the iPads as soon as we can.
It will allow students to work on skills that they need to work on or touch up on. In addition to individual skills, these covers and headphones will allow the students to work in groups and learn to facilitate a role in a group setting.
