My Students

Thanks to the amazing generosity of DonorChoose.org donors, my classroom has received 12 Amazon Fire Tablets this school year! Now, we need a way to protect all of our new, amazing technology.

My students come from a Title 1 school in Virginia, which means that the majority of them come from low-income, one-parent homes.

They often do not have access to computers or the Internet at home, so I strive to provide them with this opportunity in the classroom.

My Project

Now that we have almost enough tablets for each student in my class, we need some materials that will help us make the most of their use and help preserve them. The tablet covers and screen protectors will help keep them safe in the hands of first graders. The headphones will allow me to keep teaching small groups, while others are using the tablets to reinforce math and reading skills.

Your donation will help us be able to use our new technology most effectively.

Having access to this technology is critical for my students, so that they can keep up with the demands of a 21st-century learner.
