Our school is located in an inner-city area and has a very diverse population. In a district where 85.7% of students on free lunch and 47.5% receiving lunch at a reduced cost, overall 91.2% of all students qualify for free lunch. The students must have more opportunities to be successful not only in the classroom but outside of it to prepare them for their future and beyond.
Everyone has inside them, the talent and strength to succeed.
All it takes is finding that spark and watching them soar to new heights.
My Project
At NDES we are in the process of upgrading the technology in our classrooms. We are installing TVs with the ability to cast and a Samsung Chromebook for the teacher to use. These Chromebooks allow the teacher to cast directly to the TVs for the students to see, and also has a touch screen that they can write on (and the students as well to share their work with the class). The technology that we had previously was very dated.
These mCover Hard Shell Cases and screen protectors that fit these Chromebooks will allow them to be protected from scratches and dings.
As the school technology coordinator, I would love to see the life of these Chromebooks extended for many years with these hard shell cases!
