This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As an art teacher, my goal is to ensure that my students' artwork is handled with care, receives constructive feedback, and is stored efficiently to maintain a productive and organized classroom. This project will provide essential materials that will help project student's artwork, facilitate meaningful feedback, and improve classroom organization. My students dedicate significant time and effort to their work, and it is my responsibility to ensure their pieces are protected, properly stored/transported.
By protecting their work, providing clear feedback, and maintaining organization, students will feel empowered to take ownership of their creative journey.
I am requesting the following items:
1. Large Art Portfolio: A sturdy, protective portfolio is essential for transporting student artwork safely, whether within the school or to exhibitions. This will prevent damage such as smudging, tearing, or bending, allowing students to showcase their work in pristine condition.
2. Transparent Sticky notes: These will be used for providing feedback on student artwork without permanently altering or marking their original work.
3. Dry Erase Markers: Used daily for instruction, demonstrations, and quick student notes on the board, these markers are a classroom staple that ensures effective communication.
4. Label Tape: With many students sharing storage spaces such as lockers and cabinets, label tape will ensure that each student has a designated area for their supplies and artwork, reducing confusion and misplaced materials.
5. Laminating Pouches: These will be used to create durable signs for the classroom, ensuring that important information and instructions remain intact and visible throughout the school year.
