Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classroom is composed of 3rd to 5th-grade students with special needs. These students belong to lower-income families and consist of two 3rd graders, three 4th graders, and three 5th graders.

Despite their academic challenges, my students love learning new things and enjoy working with each other.

My Project

As the Covid 19 pandemic continues, students from all over the country are exposed to this virus. With the students going back to in-person learning, their exposure and vulnerability increase thereby increasing the protection they needed.

As my classroom is composed of learners with special needs, the need for protection just doubled up.

As learners with disabilities have difficulties complying with country-wide regulations especially in wearing masks, this project aims to address these challenges by providing them with materials they can access immediately for their protection while they are in school.
