Protect the Technology

Help me give my students cases for their new iPads to ensure that they are kept safe and able to be used for years to come. They also need a set of interlocking cubes for math activities.

My Students

I teach an amazing, diverse, eager to learn class of first graders. Since Hurricane Michael, a number of my students have been displaced, lost belongings, and had their friends and classmates relocate due to the destruction. Despite all this, they continue to enjoy learning and show up trying their best each day.

All children love electronics and game time.

I would like to offer my students the benefit of learning even when they think they are playing! My students have inspired me with their ability to overcome and continue to be positive and ready to learn despite the hardships.

My Project

My class graciously received iPads to use for educational learning and intervention to help close any gaps that my students may have after Hurricane Michael. The hurricane and destruction that was left caused schools to be closed for a month. I am hoping to use the programs and apps accessible on iPads to help monitor the progress of my students.

We now need iPad cases and screen protectors to help keep these amazing resources safe.

My students are very excited to use the iPads and cannot wait for the cases to come in so that they may use them as a center. My students are also in need of some math manipulatives - interlocking cubes - that they will use for counting and measuring.
