Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
This is my third year of teaching, and I have a wonderful group of 20 students who come to school eager to learn and share their daily experiences with others. My students enjoy reading, writing, and mathematics. Everyday they find new connections and relationships between the new concepts we learn. Aside from recognizing concept relationships, they strive to apply those concepts to their daily lives.
Everyday we share how our learning is relevant to our daily lives and I am excited to hear how they make those connections independently.
They are free thinkers and born problem solvers!
My Project
First grade is an exciting and rambunctious time for 6 and 7 year olds. My kiddos are full of energy and excitement and with that energy we sometimes have accidents. To ensure minimal damage is done, we would like for our technology to be protected against any unforeseen accidents that may occur by having five kid-proof Kindle Fire cases. With protective devices, our classroom technology will have a longer longevity of life to serve current and future students to come. Due to limited funds and resources, we want to ensure our current learning tools last for the most time possible. My students are a lively group of eager learners and they do not want their energy to disrupt the flow of technological advances within the classroom.
