This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My culinary arts students are the best! They're flexible and brave and are always willing to try new things. Some of them have never touched a knife or read a recipe and most certainly have never made food for themselves from scratch. They impress me every day with their hard work and dedication. When they first entered my class, using a stove, a knife, or a recipe was a completely foreign concept. As the year goes on, they start to see how wonderful food could be, how much better it tasted if they make it themselves, and how they can affect the choices they make about their health. It is exciting and inspiring to watch them, and I can't wait to expand their food knowledge.
We have a class set of Kitchenaid Stand mixers that we use almost daily in class to make everything from cookies to pizza dough.
They are a precious classroom item and they need to be protected to keep them clean and working for years to come. These covers will ensure that the machines are protected when they are not in use.
