My students need equipment to assist on and off the field. The kicking net is vital because many of our close games could have been wins if our kickers could get more practice.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We have hard working boys and girls on our football team. We are a struggling program and one of the primary reasons is a lack of equipment. Our players put forth great effort and improvement with the items we have, and our administration is as supportive as they can be, but football equipment is expensive, and we could achieve so much more with better specialized equipment. If you would see the excitement in the team's faces when they get new equipment, you would understand why I am making this request.
When you work with low income kids, having equipment that they see other teams with makes them feel like they are a part of something great!
When students see outsiders take an interest in their success it gives them the confidence and belief that they can achieve their goals in and out of the classroom.
My Project
Student athletes need pride and practice! It's hard to have pride without good equipment and hard to practice without the vitals such as wrist bands and tackling pads. Most of our players have never played before. We are a title one inner city school and football is expensive. We are breaking the mold for football teams. As a woman I often feel like a unicorn on the field; one of a kind, but that's how progress is made.
College recruiters have recently given us lots of attention which equates to lots of scholarships.
We want to further our student athletes' skills to help them get much needed money for college. With your help we can further this mission and help our kids succeed on and off the field.
