My Students

My students are curious, innovative, and energetic. I teach in a public middle school in a lower-income part of Salt Lake County that serves approximately 1,200 students.

The dance program at my school is new, giving opportunities to students who have never had a chance to take dance before.

My Project

I am asking for new scarves, ribbon sticks, and blacklights for my dance students. Because the dance program at my school is so new, I have zero props to work with. My goal is to build up the supply of equipment for years to come.

These props will help my students explore dance and movement in new and creative ways.

It will be especially helpful for beginners and students who are less confident or comfortable moving their own bodies. Having props like these will make dance more fun, which makes learning the best!
