This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am requesting costumes, costume accessories, and props for a musical theater production that incorporates classic fairy tale creatures and characters who each learn a socio-emotional life lesson about having good character traits.
Preparing for a theatrical production covers many, many 4th and 5th-grade standards in reading, speaking, writing, and art (visual and performing) as well as the important life skills and global citizenship of collaboration, problem-solving, team support, quality work, perseverance, commitment, and grit.
Elements of the work will be graded and there will be supplemental reading and writing assignments. In other words, this will be a fun but very educational experience.
