Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a third year teacher at an elementary school in the city of Philadelphia. I work in a Title 1 school where most of my students are economically disadvantaged. My students are the definition of achievers. They have so much drive and determination to learn each and every day despite their disadvantages. When asked if they see a glass as half full or half empty, they replied, " We have a cup and we are happy with our cup weather it is empty or full."
My students have a love for learning and I am over joyed to be their teacher.
My Project
These items are are essential to my students learning and will boost their learning tremendously. With the use of a proper easel the students will be able to visually learn which is very helpful for young learners. The listening center is also an essential part of a classroom because it allows the students to be exposed to high quality literature. They will be able to listen to all types of stories that could possibly take them on a reading journey that they never experienced before. These items will be perfect for my students.
