Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Outdoor time is intentionally linked to the learning occurring indoors so that skills are reinforced in multiple venues. Children continue to learn through play, exploration, and discovery in the natural environment.

Prop boxes often are used to spark students' imagination and promote role-playing and exploration.

Authentic materials are available for children to construct their learning. Materials are developmentally appropriate, safe, and support learning goals. There is a mix of materials that supports all types of learners so that all children can work to develop new skills and understanding. Materials in this project, including community helper dress-up items and various themed play sets, will help support and stimulate dramatic play and creative expression.
