This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My TK after-school students are the best and they have really expressed a love for learning throughout this school year. They've become super engaged, especially with hands-on learning. When choosing the materials, I kept in mind their interest and expanding alphabet and number knowledge, as well as fine motor skills. I want to make these materials available on a daily basis for my students so the storage baskets will help keep the materials in a secure area for long-term use.
All the materials I have chosen will not only support writing and language development, but these materials will also support hands-on learning, individually and in a whole group.
Having these new materials available for my after-school students will allow them to create, explore, and stay engaged in school.
