Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This community service project will help my TK students promote wellness by learning the importance of physical activity for a healthy body and mind. With resources like scoops and balls, scooter boards, and the Smart Toss game,
students will engage in fun, movement-based activities that support coordination, teamwork, and emotional regulation.
The ball pit balls will create a calming, sensory friendly space that encourages emotional wellness.
As students build these skills, they’ll be empowered to lead a community service initiative by sharing what they’ve learned. They can do this by organizing play stations at family events, helping younger peers stay active, and spreading healthy habits throughout our school.
