Promoting Speech and Language Through Literacy

My Project

As a speech language pathologist, it is my job to create fun and engaging lessons for my students who struggle with speech and language so that they can better access the curriculum within their classroom. Books are a fantastic way to incorporate all aspects of language development. They help expose children to new vocabulary, sentence structure and grammar, and comprehension. They can even be used to help children with their speech sounds and fluency skills. Please help support my efforts to assist my students with their speech and language development by helping me fill the empty bookshelves in my classroom with these 25 wonderful children's books! I believe using these books in my therapy sessions will help my students reach their IEP goals faster, which in return will allow them to have greater success in the classroom, as well as the outside world.
