Help me give my students books to have ways to identify with subject matter, and build perspectives, while increasing literacy and self esteem.

My Project
Students will explore and reflect on life challenges while improving reading skills and collaborative learning skills through these sets of books. We will use the novels to engage in social emotional discussions about perspective and point of view. I want students to learn to develop empathy and critical thinking skills, while discussing situations and different ways to handle them in their own lives. Graphic novels are a great way for our students to learn. Graphic novels are not as intimidating and are easier to navigate for our special education scholars. I think these books will be well received by our students.
