This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students need resources that encourage Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) in a creative and calming environment. This project will help fund journals, gel pens, stickers, coloring books, expo markers, and essential oils to foster self-expression, creativity, and mindfulness in my SEL class.
Journaling provides students with a private space to reflect on their thoughts and emotions.
The gel pens and stickers will make journaling more enjoyable and engaging, allowing them to personalize their work. This will encourage regular practice and deeper reflection. Additionally, coloring books will provide a creative outlet that helps students calm their minds and reduce stress, promoting focus and relaxation.
The expo markers will be used during group activities, allowing students to collaborate on emotional regulation strategies. These tools will make lessons interactive and fun. Essential oils will help create a peaceful and relaxing environment, supporting mindfulness practices.
With these materials, my students will have access to calming, creative tools that promote emotional well-being and self-expression. Your support will help them build lifelong skills in emotional regulation and resilience, making a meaningful difference in their lives.
