Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach all content areas, and it just seems that they are so enthusiastic and interested in being fluent in reading and math. Besides the academic expectations we have in my classroom, students are also learning about socialization by working in small groups, building independence by completing their independent work, and respect by following and respecting their classmates and daily classroom routines.
I am always thinking about ways in which I can help them, and not only in class.
Most of my students come from very poor households, and a lot even live in shelters. I feel that school is their safe place.
The materials requested in this project will make a difference in my students’ learning since they will use them to practice the daily modeled tasks and lessons in class. When my students receive instruction and by using these added books, little readers, number puzzles, phonics activities, and more it will ensure that all students have enough materials to have a welcoming experience. By providing these materials to my students, they will be able to have access to all required materials for our daily lessons.
